Biometric Access Control and CCTV Systems – Their Advantages in Installing at Office

Biometric access control and CCTV have become indispensible part of offices’ security guarding system. Commercial buildings and offices often become the target areas of crime. The incidence of criminal activities is increasing at a rapid pace in residential as well as commercial areas. The most common areas of crime happen in the form of theft, burglary, vandalism and terrorism. These are the reasons why the offices as well as the commercial spaces need secured guarding solutions. In addition to the security guards, the other forms of advanced technological solutions that potentiate effective security guarding are Biometric Access Control system and CCTV cameras. In fact, these two forms of security guarding system have become immensely popular in today’s commercial life and they are Biometric Access Control system and CCTV cameras. To lessen the incidence of trespassing and other forms of crime, offices are using employee biometric identification system. This is also helping them to allow only limited number of people to the office. With the installation of CCTV cameras, office security system can monitor all the proceedings that are taking place in the office. This helps professionals to take preventive measures instantly in the target areas so that crimes can be stopped. Many a times, CCTV footages are used by police for catching the miscreants. Hence, it is evident that CCTVs and Biometric Access Control systems have come up as handy ways of security guarding for businesses.

Biometric Access Control System
Biometrics is an advanced system which identifies person on the basis of the behavioural or physiological characteristics (face, finger print, iris, speech recognition, hand, etc.) of that person.
This system of security guarding is highly secured because:
i)                    This system is unique in itself because it allows only specific people and not the ones who are not allowed. This is ensured that some psychological characteristics of different person never match with each other, making the system absolutely full proof.
ii)                    Biometric access control system can never be shared with other people, even if the person who is allowed in the premise wants to share. Face, fingerprint and other physiological factors of one person cannot be shared by a person with another.
iii)                 Physiological factors like face, finger print, iris, speech, hand, etc. cannot be replicated in entirety. Hence, Biometric Access Control system allows only specific people who have sole entrance permit.
iv)                 The biometric properties cannot be lost because these are behavioural or physiological characteristics of specific person, which can be lost only when the person dies in some kind of accident, which may mutilate the concerned behavioural or physiological characteristic feature.
CCTV
CCTV cameras have numerous benefits and some of them are enlisted below:
    1. These specialised cameras are used for supervising assets of companies and also to supervise the several production activities.
    2. The proceedings of the office are recorded 24x7, which helps the authorities to find out the anomalies even after the incident has occurred. The evidences recorded can be used by authorities and police for catching the miscreants and also nail them under law.
Hence, Biometric access control system and CCTVs are secured and effective ways of security guarding systems.
